I just used software deployment and pushed out a piece of software out ot 359 computers my report says that it's installed on 320. Is there a report that tells me what the name of the 39 other computers that don't have it installed on? so I need to know the computer names of the 39 that's what I need.

Check this issue same information required.

    Just copy paste comments

There are default reports available for you if you go to Reports > All Reports, then expand Reports > Discovery and Inventory > Inventory > Cross-platform > Software/Applications > Installed Software or Installed Software by Computer.  For example, using the Installed Software report, type '%Adobe%' for the Company OR '%Lync%' for the Name

I use the installed software and installed software by computer all the time.

But I haven't been able to find a report that shows me the name of the computers that the software should have been installed on but still hasn't for whatever reasons like agent not communicating. See in the policie tab it show's that it should go to 359 computers, in the reports it show's that 320 have it so I need to see what 39 computers didn't get it. So if you go into the policies tab you can see that you applied the policie to 359 computers but only 320 computers took it. Hope that makes since.

If you mean about "Software Management Solution", then you need to make suret, that missing managed endpoints in report have "Software Management Plug-in" installed.

    1. Check this "All computers with installed Software Management Plug-in" filter and then check "All computers without installed Software Management Plug-in" filter ⇔ Compare results from both filters and determine whether these remaining missed computers have plug-in installed or not.

    2. Did you check all required "Software Management Solution" reports to determine why targeted endpoint doesn't have this software installed? Maybe it fails to download software package?

    3. Also take a look on what amount of license node you have for "Software Management Solution" product?

You can check this on "First Time Setup" portal page:

    Thanks,

Right-click on the software and create a Filter of computers with the software. Clone the All Computers filter and add the filter above as an exclusion and the remaining computers in the Filter will be computers that don't have it.

Thanks Andykn101, just made a filter and I can see the remainders of all the computers  that don't have the software installed now I can go see why they aren't getting it.

Do you use the RAAD tool: "RAAD - Remote Symantec Management Agent Diagnostics 7.5.3153" http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO95133

Another trick is to right click the policy, select reports and then software compliance report. This is a very fast way to see adoption.
