You may be able to use the Unix/Linux/Mac install to install on Solaris 8. The Platform Support Matrix (https://kb.altiris.com/article.asp?article=46349&p=1) for Server Management Suite lists Solaris 9 and 10 as supported products for the agent. The .xlsx files will also provide more detail on what types of features they support. Does this help?
