Hi Kamel,

Well, firstly you can't run 2 different versions of Exchange on 1 server...so is it Exchange 2007 or Exchange 2012?

Is this a virtualised environment, or are these all physical servers?

Are you backing up to disk or tape?

Do you have additional hardware on your DR site (server, disk/tape storage) etc?

How much data do you back up nightly?

BE can do what you want, but you haven't given enough information on your actual backup environment...

Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback

* my exchange server 2007 and i will make upgrade to exchange 2010.

* all servers is physical.

for this moment i don't have any backup on my DR  site but i will buy also with software backup hardware SAN disk to take backup.

my our data for exchange around 120 GB and also for our SQL 2012 around 45 GB and i have around 500 users in my Active directory.

Thanks

Hi Kamel,

Thanks...then, depending on your WAN connection, you should look at Backup Exec's Optimized Dedupe.

Since you are backing up to disk, you are able to send much less data across the WAN to the remote site.

You would need:

* 1 x media server license for your primary server with the ESO license to make this a CAS server.

* 1 x media server license for your DR server (with any relevant application agents).

* 2 x Agent for Databases and Applications (Exchange/SQL)

* 2 x Remote Agent for WIndows Servers for the file and DC servers.

Read below on this, and as always, contact the licensing department when it comes to licensing questions:
