    Hello all,

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit with Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager installed. After i drop the .JDB file into the correct folder and it finishes unpacking and all, some clients do not receive the update. All the clients appear online. Any help would be much appreciated.

UPDATE: Coworker got the issue resolved. I believe he just redid the communication file for he claims he tried before and it just worked this time.

What is the heartbeat set to?

You can enable sylink logging on the client to see the commmunication between client/SEPM.

Any error in the System log on the client?

are all the clients having this issue?

have you checked if communication is alright?

enable sylink on one of the client and post the log here

    Hi

Please enable the sylink logs as suggested by Pete.  This would help us to find the cause.

    Regards

    Hello,

Does it make any difference if you restarted SEP client service manually?

To restart SEP client service go to:

Start --> Run --> smc -stop (stop the service)

Start --> Run --> smc -start (start the service)

I am sorry it took so long to get back in touch with you all. I wish I had more details but the coworker just told me he had resolved to issue.
