Some components of SEP were malfunctioning

hi all,
i would like to ask, why are some of the components of SEP are malfuntioning? how to solve this with out reinstallation? i usually do a reinstallation. thank you

open the client gui and check which component is not working. if the drivers or services not running it will show this message.

client gui shows some services was not running. i check the services and started all related to SEP services. but still component are malfunctioning.
Please reinstall or repair the clinet..ir will work..

which services are stopped. yeah, try repairing the SEP client using add/remove program.

I would go with repairing first as pointed out by others above.

What version of SEP 12.1 are you running?
Is this SEP 12.1 a managed client? If yes, have you disabled certain features / policies from SEPM?
Could you provide us a screenshot of the SEP GUI which shows the services are not working?
