HI,

I wonder would someone be able to shed some light on an issue i am having with some machines not reporting back as having software installed. Yet when i go onto the machines and check the agent it shows as having run successfully.

I f i run a compliance report it shows these machines as having "not applied" but they have, they just aren't reporting back.

Hopefully someone has experienced this before. I am using Altiris 7.1

I think you might need to run the compliance check more than once, the first time to return the "not compliant" that triggers the remediation action (installing the software) and the second time to return "Compliant" (because the software has installed.

Many thanks for the reply, unfortunately the software has been installed for a few days now so the compliance check will have run a few times since then. It just shows it as not apllied

Does it show as "Compliant" in the Agent on the client? How often does your Compliance Check run?
 

Yeah it shows compliant on the agent. We had the software running every hour to try and get it out to full estate quickly. it's only showing as 80% compliant but every machine i go onto has the software installed.

Check your event queues on the NS for backlogs, find a PC that has run it and isn't in the report and look in Resource Manager to see if the NS knows it has run the Compliance Check successfully.

many thanks,, it appered to be the NS queues alot of old files in it causing a backlog. I cleared them out and everything is starting to report back now.
