Endpoint Protection

Hello all,

I have some question before i will start my migration to the newest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU2.
 

Currently im running version 11.0.7200.1147 and tryed to migrate to 12.1 RU1 and the to 12.1 RU1 mp1 this failed because of incompatible database schemas like discussed here: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/middle-migration-121 
According to support we needed to wait for 12.1 RU2 for migrating from 11.0.7200.1147.

I have some questions:

- Can i manage my current 11.0.7200.1147 clients in the new manager 12.1 RU2?
- Will my current policies and settings stays active after migration?
- After migration, will the new management console set the new 'install packages' on all groups? Or better do i need to do this manual, so i can install the new 12.1 ru2 clients in stages for testing purposes, also i need to do this in stages because i have a lot of clients and need to watch the network load.

yes , SEPM 12 RU 2 can manage SEP 11 clients

yes, there will not be any change. Except the new one's like downloadinsight and SONAR will be applied as well.

You need to do it manually by assigning packages to group.
