    Were these clients just upgraded?

You're on an old version, upgrade to at least RU7 MP2...you're one version behind.

delete the clinet and let it talk to SEPM with new info

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager shows old definition dates even though the clients have current definitions.

What is the status of defintion on clients(updated or still old)?

    Client status(online/offline)?

How many client defintion is old?

In case old defintion count is low then clear the defintion on client

In case old defintion count is high then clear the defintion on SEPM
