Something else SEP breaks..

What a lovely product SEP is..

Not very common circumstances but, used here..

If you use Microsoft Great Plains thru a RDP session GP will not start, it fails. Uninstalling SEP fixes the issue. MS is aware but has no fix.. why SEP breaks software from running thru RDP, I have no idea..

I am glad I caught your post.  Can you give more information on the OS etc of the system you were having a problem with Great Plains and RDP.  I have a client using Great Plains on a SBS 2003 R2 server.  They have a DB administrator that comes in remotely via RDP to the server to service GP.

Are you using anything more than SEPM and SEP AntiVirus Protection only on the the server you are having the problem opening Great Plains under a RDP session?  Are you runing this on a Terminal Server or a TS in application mode.

I look forward to learing more about your situation.  I hope this bump if you will gets you/us some help.  I am not in a situation to test this before installing SEP on a production server that has Great Plains.

I have installed SEP and SEPM on other servers, just not with the Great Plains application.  I almost installed SEP 2 weeks ago and am servicing that client again in 6 weeks.

I am having this problem as well, GP 10 and SEP 11.2010.25.   This wasn't a problem with version 8 of GP (we just upgraded to 10).  Does symantec have any insight as to why this is happening or if there is any exceptions that can be added so that it will work.

Hmmm...  very interesting.

Can you guys clarify "it doesnt work over RDP" please.  I mean in the sense of:

- Does it work locally when connected at the WKS?

- Also, what features are you running from SEP?  -Just AV, Network Threat, etc.
