    I recently updated my server version to 12.1 but because of some conflicting whitelisting software i am forced to leave my clients on versions of 11.X.  I have been noticing since the upgrade that some 11.x clients show sonar definitions and others do not.  I also have been getting calls from users saying they are getting popups with error messages about sonar is not being installed.

    My understanding for the SONAR piece of endpoint is that it only applied to 12.x version of the clients.  Have i misunderstood?  

     

    Do i need to disable sonar for the entire domain so that users who do not have 12.x will not try to recieve the updates?

    by chance have you tried to disable SONAR VIA AV policy and configure your old Truescan policy BIA the SEPM..

    IF your not even using PTP/SONAR/etc (Same thing, just Sonar has been completly re-written) You can disable the policy to govern it.
