This is spam button moves to drafts
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 3 comments
I have one computer that when you click on the this is spam button it will consistently delete the email, not move it to the spam folder, and then will create a submission that just sits in drafts eternally. Many others that work correctly but nothing seems to change the behaviour or this one. Help

Re: This is spam button moves to drafts
Hi all,
Is there an improvement on this issue? In my case, "This is spam" button moves the message successfully to the spam folder as I configured it, but unfortately leaves the copy of submission message in the drafts folder which means it does not actually submit it, instead creates a draft copy. It is similar with the "This is not spam button" where it successfully moves the message to the inbox folder, but cannot send the submission message.
I've found an technical article on the Symantec KB, but it is not updated if the problem is solved or not:

Any help will bbe appreciated.
Thanks & regards
Gorkem
This tool will not be fixed.
This tool will not be fixed. According to the link in the document you found.
Symantec no longer provides technical support for the OutlookSpamPlug-in. Feature enhancements, other development and software defect fixes for the Symantec Brightmail Outlook Plug-in were stopped as of July 2006.
Mail is actually sent
This problem only seems to occur with Outlook 2007 for me. It works fine on Outlook 2003. What I found though by looking at my mail server logs is that the submission IS actually sent. What is happening in Outlook is that the email you see in the Drafts folder is actually the copy of the sent email that should have been put in the Sent Items folder. For some reason the tool is just putting the copy of the sent email in the wrong folder.
