  • 1.  Spam Quarantine - Missing messages from Scanner

    Posted Feb 16, 2009 11:25 PM

Hi All, i noticed one of my scanners is not sending quarantined messages to the quarantine. Previously i logged a case with support and a french guy helped me solved it real quick.. but i forgot what he did already. I have a CC/scanner and a scanner.

Anyone can give me some hints?

Is there another Scanner that is able to send messages to quarantine?

What do the MTA logs report when the problem Scanner is trying to send a message to quarantine?

Try to telnet to port 41025 from the problem Scanner to the Control Center IP and try to send a message using telnet and let us know what happens.  Can you do the same thing from the other Scanner?

    Cheers,

    Kevin

    Ok , from the

Control Center, i cannot telnet the Scanner

From the scanner i can telnet the Control Center and can send emails

I assume this is correct since the quarantine is in the CC so only the CC is open for port 41025 right?

    Hi Ivan,

That's correct the Control Center quarantine is listening on port 41025.  This port won't be listening on Scanners.  When a message is due to go to quarantine all the Scanner does is try to send it to port 41025 on the Control Center.
