SPC Appliance Monitoring Question

We have just installed an SPC appliance and had some issues with knowing when there were issues around the apliance getting data. The only outgoing items from the appliance seem to be email, so if there is a glitch in the email set up or our email system it just disappears into a black hole

Has anyone setup one of these and what type of monitoring are they using for the availability of the appliance - we have been advised not to install monitoring agents (like SCOM) on the appliance?

Greetings Trigger,

Since the SPC 2.0 appliance is in a locked down state there is no ability for third party monitoring tools to be installed at this time.

We are taking suggestions for the types of monitoring tools customers would like to have installed, or the types of information that they would like to have reported from within the web console.

If you could please submit some items to the IDEAS section of Symantec Connect they will be looked at and added to our growning list.
