Speakers don't work after installing SEP Version: 11.0.4010.19.

Hi all,

My speakers don't work after I installed SEP Version: 11.0.4010.19. Everything about in the Device manager reports OK. But the there is no sound output from speakers. Audio hardware is Realtek HD audio. system details are pasted below.

Wow...That's amazing if SEP

Wow...That's amazing if SEP is behind it.

However it's probably not because of SEP, It happens with me lot of times(on xp though)

What I do is uninstall the drivers from the device manager and then scan for hardware changes. It picks it up automatically and then works fine.

 

De facto when AV does something, it starts jumping up and down, waving its arms, and shouting "Hey!  I found a virus!  Look at me!  I'm soooo goooood!"

Thank you for the response.
I too can't believe it is SEP who is the culprit.
I had already tried uninstalling the audio drivers and and reinstalling. It didn't work.
Seems something else needs to be done.!!!!

Are you using 3rd-party software to manage your sound?

do the following:- 1.chk if

do the following:-

1.chk if ur spkrs are loosely connected to ur machine.
2.click on the volume icon in d system tray n chk if nything is muted.
3.change the socket for the spkr's power cord.
4.also chk 'sounds & audio devices' in the control panel.
5.unistall audio driver n reinstall it.

these are basic techniques,but u never know,u might end up listening to music on ur system :-)
