There are more references to BROWSECLIENT in the manual than just Cluster...

BROWSE CLIENT is required when we are having the backup name of sql client as something different other than sql host.I mean If we are using some other interface for that SQL client

If you need to use a backup network interface to backup SQL Client, see this topic in the manual:

'About configuration for a multi-interface network connection (multi-NIC)'
The 'Source Client' referred to in point 7 on p. 103 will be the BROWSECLIENT

Theory is covered in detail in the manuals - take your time to read and understand. Compare the theory with what you see in your production environment. Discuss 'doubts' with your colleagues and your senior....

If you have a REAL problem, please post details of your issue and we will try to help you solve the problem.

I mean we have sql host name as win23k.

And in policy of NBU I have this client name as WIN23K-BACK.

So in backup script ,Do i have to write browse client =WIN23K-BACK.

Same Client as this?

What has been in your script up to now?

Are you experiencing any issues?

What is the manual telling about hostnames in the scripts?

SQLHOST is used in backup script.
BROWSECLIENT is for restore.
