  • 1.  SQL to find "Latest from Symantec" Windows Definitions.

I'm pretty quick at finding a query to figure out the net difference between a client and the SEPM manager. However, I'm looking for the SQL used to get the following that is located on the login page of SEPM:

    Windows Definitions

Latest from Symantec: 04/23/2014 r3   <-- Really like to know where in the DB this is stored.
    Latest on Manager: 04/22/2014 r1

Kudos for anyone who can find it in the DB. :)

    Thanks in advance!

Best I can offer is the 12.1 DB schema :)

Symantec™ Endpoint Protection Manager Database Schema Reference 12.1

The symantec date is not stored in the DB, it's via Internet check

Latest from Symantec: 04/23/2014 r3  ---> this is from Symantec site not from SEPM , this is checked on internet

this is from SEPM database Latest on Manager: 04/22/2014 r1

    yesThumbs up to Pete!

The "Latest from Symantec" is available from the Symantec site under "File-based Protection" on the below page:

    http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions.jsp

As such, I'd question if it would even make it into the DB, as it would serve no purpose (that I can think of off the top of my head).

    Hello,

Latest from manager means the file based protection definitions available from Symantec latest on manger means current file based definitions with local SEPM.

    Regards

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

Refer this article as well: Symantec Endpoint Protection Managers using a Microsoft SQL database no longer host the latest definitions and client install packages.
