Is there a report that exist or can be written to show the historical performance of a SQL server? We are new to the Altiris 7 platform using server management suite and IT Analytics. Any feed back would be great

SQL monitoring packs?
Hi sp1897,
Have you installed the Monitor Solution 7 monitoring pack, or developed your own? I'm afraid I don't know much of anything about them, but this would be a good first step I'd say.

We have the SQL pack and we are running ns7 server managment suite. I guess what we are looking for is a report that can be made from the metric collections from the monitor pack metrics.

Bruce,
depending on the space available for your SMS DB, I wouldn't attempt to reinvent any wheels and simply crank up the purging intervals (e.g. to 90 days before purging) for your Monitor Solution installation. This means you can have the data in Mon Soln for as long as you like with all its fancy historical data interfaces rather than just reports.
