sql restore

This issue has been solved. See solution.

We have a wundows client win23 for which we are taking the SQL and OS  backup.

We are using client name win23 -bkp (backup interface) in os policy as the client name and win23 as the client name in SQL policy on master server GUI.

When i do the restore, what would i write in source client:win23-bkp or just win23?

Use the client name you used in the policy for the type (OS or MS SQL) of backup you are performing.

Are all these questions theoretical or real?

Tip: Get overview/document your NBU environment. Run 'nbsu' and review the output.

these are real questions.

So on source  name i should write win23 .Is it?

Just use the name that is used for backup.
If you use win23-bkp for OS backup, use it for restore from OS backups.
If you use win23 for SQL backup, use it for restore from SQL backups.
