  • 1.  SQL Scan Error

    Unable to create a database connection: Unable to create connection: jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://xxxx.hrxxx.net:####/xx_xxxxx;instance=Replica, Reason: Unable to get information from SQL Server: xxxxxxxx##.hrxxx.net..

     

    This is the error when I am attempting to start an SQL Scan. I have tried with two scanners, one linux and one windows 2008. I have done some research but nothing with a direct answer to this error. Can someone explain what this error means and how to fix it?

    Hello,

    Please ensure you have jtds-1.2.5.jar file is located under C:\Vontu\Protect\lib\jdbc on Discover server with R/W protect permission on. You may need to use the latest version of the jtds drivers.

    Is the SQL Browser service started?  Also, I have been unable to scan MSSQL 2012 databases, but all previous versions work fine.
