SQL Server 2005 and replication

Hello,

I have database (SQL Server 2005) which is publisher, transaction replication. At same time the database is subscriber to other transaction replication from another database. MS SQL Server 2005. As storage, we use EMC CX for one of databases and RamSAN for another database. Each out of the two databases is placed on separate clusters, MS cluster.
We want to improve level of availability for the databases and consider usage of Veritas products.
Is VCS (or other Veritas/Symantec products) supports such configuration with replication, will faiover/failback work correctly with replication?

Thanks.

SQL 2005 replication with VCS

This may need some customization but this is going to work. VCS is very flexible. Yes on windows if you are using wizards. You may not be able to control resource dependencies as wizards represent basic workflows. However you should be able to alter the resource dependencies using Java GUI.

Need more details about your configuration

This is also possible if you architect the replication correctly. If you can explain your replication needs or constraints we should be able to provide you correct agents. Configuration you are referring is also possible as long as you are using different disk sets and open for Dynamic disk group creation.
