SQL Server Resource wont go online

I am unable to get a service group online. the sql server resource group will no online.

I am getting the following message in the SQLServer2000_a.txt

WARNING V-16-20020-38 SQLServer2000:servername_SG-SQLServer2000:clean:Failed to remove the virtual name environment for the service

and the following errors in the engine_a.txt

8:06:38 VCS ERROR V-16-2-13079 (SERVERNAME) Resource(SERVERNAME_SG-SQLServer2000): The last 590 invocations of the clean procedure have failed.

VCS ERROR V-16-20020-9 SQLServer2000:SERVERNAME_SG-SQLServer2000:online:Failed to start the service 'MSSQL$INSTANCE'. Error = 3

I have checke all of the settings and they appear to be correct.

If anyone has any kind of experience\information about this it would be much appreciated.

Hope you have SQL service groups with SQL Wizard, are you able to bring the sql up outside VCS?
