    Currently we have a manger SEP 12 with SQL 2005 on another server on port 1433 Communicator, let cambier the SQL server and install SQL server 2008,

    we can tell if there is a manual for this procedure

    HI, 

    Migrating SEPM database from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008

    1. Backup the SEPM server certificate As per Disaster Recovery Steps.
    2. Backup the existing SQL 2005 database using SQL backup
    3. Uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
    4. Uninstall Microsoft SQL 2005 clients tools
    5. Install Microsoft SQL 2008 client tools
    6. Steps to perform on the SQL 2008 Server

    a). Copy SQL 2005 backup Database to SQL 2008
    b). Attach the database
    c). Change the compatibility mode to 2008a
    d). Create a user which will have admin rights on the
    database

    7. Reinstall the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
    8. In Management Server Configuration Wizard point it to the
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and use the existing database, when it asks
    that the server exist do you want to overwrite click yes
    9. Restore the SEPM server certificate.
