A customer would like to know if this can be done:

Install Symantec System Recovery on a server that's running Microsoft Hyper-V and Microsoft Small Business Server 2008. Do a backup of SBS and recover it down to the same box without Hyper-V installed, after blowing the server away.

Basically to get rid of Hyper-V.

Do you mean that SBS is running inside a VM on the physical Hyper-V server?

Yes, this can be done (if the above assumption is correct).

If your query is resolved please mark as Resolved.

Once you boot from SSR SRD and perform the restore to the same box , it will blow the Hyper- V and restore the SBS.
