This issue has been solved. See solution.

A windows XP machine reported an infection almost a month ago for a file on a memory stick. Under the Home Page (SEP 12.1Ru1Mp1) >> Virus and Risks Acitivity Summary >> Still infected count has remained for this machine.

It last ran a scan 2 days ago and yet this file has only been detected but no "Action" was done to this file. The machine is at a remote location and user
does not have the memory stick anymore.

How can I clear the infected status manually for this machine only?

To clear the "Still Infected" status:

  1. Choose Monitors from the left hand panel, and click on the Logs tab.
  2. For Log Type, choose Computer Status.
  3. Choose the appropriate time range, then choose View Log.
  4. On the report that is generated, select any item that has a red diamond in the first column that has been verified as cleaned.
  5. Click Clear Infected Status.

Items should no longer be identified as infected.

This is only valid for SEP 11 and not SEP 12.

Not so much as a solution than a change in SEP 12.1
