  • 1.  stop the noise

    Hello,

    I just signed up with Symantec Endpoint Protection online using my new PC that uses Windows 7 Home Edition.   The software appears to be functioning as it is supposed to.  It periodically pops up with a balloon near the gold shield in the lower right corner of the screen with the text, "Traffic has been blocked from this application."  The only problem is that with each time it blocks something it brings up this annoying short muffled trombone type of sound.  How can I mute the sound while keeping everything functional?

    To disable the sound for the popup, go to your Windows Control Panel>Sounds, and change the sound for the event to "None".
