Storage device encryption

This issue has been solved. See solution.

What if it is needed to encrypt storage device (disk array, tape.. etc) attached via SAN? What Symantec product can do this?

Hello, Please take a look at our PGP NetShare product.

Supported Storage Systems

  • Windows file shares (SMB, CIFS)
  • Samba, NAS and SAN volumes
  • Locally attached hard drives (internal and external)
  • USB flash drives

This has to be done using PGP Netshare feature (included in PGP Desktop)

If this is being done on an enterprise scale, you can also do this with PGP Command Line (especially for journalling and SAN)
