Hi to all,

we have installed Storage Foundation HA 5.0 MP4 on RHEL 5.5 32 bit  with multipath RDAC/IBM

The storage is an IBM DS3524

I would like to know if the architecture is supported!!!!

Thanks in advance,

Hi ,

As answered in below post:

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/ibm...

To my understanding, there is nothing specific mentioned about this setup in guides, & if nothing is mentioned, I would say it not supported or not tested ...

Still you can double check with Symantec support to know the exact answer...

SF is not suppored on 32bit for Linux on 5.0, but VCS is supported on 32bit - the SF install should not even work on 32 bit.

See SF release notes https://sort.symantec.com/public/documents/sf/5.0MP4/linux/pdf/sf_notes.pdf

See VCS release notes https://sort.symantec.com/public/documents/sfha/5.0mp4/linux/productguides/pdf/vcs_notes.pdf

SF 4.1 supported 32bit, but I think this only support RHEL4 and I am not sure if SF4.1 RHEL is still supported - support was extended for a while for 32bit systems, but I am not sure if this is still in place.

There is still "Assisted Support" for 4.1 which support 32bit until 2013-08-06 - see https://sort.symantec.com/eosl/show_detail/52588
