This issue has been solved. See solution.

I installed SFM 2.0 agent on some Solaris 10 SPARC Oracle DB servers a couple weeks ago. SFM discovered the Oracle databases on the lightest used of them (a Sun V440) and they show up in Managing -> Applications -> Databases. However, the more heavier-used ones, also Solaris 10 SPARC, but on SunFire 6800/6900 boxes, I do not see Oracle instances displaying in SFM. Conversely, they each have an 'oraexp' process that is sucking up ~100% of one CPU on a multi-CPU box, here is the ptree output on it:

9778  /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/perl /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/mh_ctl.pl --rescan --ensure
  10215 sh -c /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/mh_driver.pl --family DB --discover --hidden --
    10216 /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/perl /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/mh_driver.pl --family DB --d
      10221 sh -c /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin//oraexp discover --config host_uuid={000200
        10223 /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin//oraexp discover --config host_uuid={00020003-b

Any ideas how to resolve this?
