Storage Server #7077 - Legacy registry values are in use...

This issue has been solved. See solution.

We are on EV 8.0 SP2, running on 2008 SP2 x64.  We currently use the Backup Exec 12.5 EVault agent for backups, and every night when the backup runs, we get the following warning:

Event ID: 7077
Task Category: Storage Server

Legacy registry values are in use. Enterprise Vault has a new method of backing up Vault Stores that cannot be used until you remove this registry value. See the Administrator's Guide for information about backing up Vault Stores.

The following legacy registry values were found:

EnableExpiry
EnableFileWatch
EnableArchive
EnableCrawler
EnableReplayIndex
EnablePSTMigrations
EnableRestore

Now, I am fairly certain that I am not going out of my mind, but I have checked the registry and can't seem to find these entries anywhere.  Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Thanks!
JV

Hi Tony -

Yep, first place I looked.  None of the registry keys referenced in the event log error appear there....??  Any other ideas?

Thanks!

This is new hardware, I

This is new hardware, I performed a data-only DR to migrate from the previous hardware.  On the old server, 7.5 SP4, I definitely did use these registry keys for backup purporses in the past prior to switching to the Backup Exec agent.  So the scheduled tasks did exist on the old server, but I verified that they are not present on the new server either.  ??  Anywhere in SQL these settings are stored as well?

Thanks for the help Tony, it is appreciated.  Still trying to get all the issues ironed out from the migration...

Oh, just because I wasn't

Oh, just because I wasn't clear in the earlier post, I did upgrade to 8.0 SP2 on the old hardware, then performed the migration.  Not vice versa...

Just checked the BE server,

Just checked the BE server, and nothing doing there....???  Is it possible that the BE EVault Agent uses the legacy method for backups and is setting these prior to running the backup job?  And if so, does it set the keys, run, and then delete the keys, rather than just updating the value of the keys?  Seems ridiculous to me, but I'm fishing here so who knows...
