Streaming IE8 from windows 2008 server

Hi Guys,

I need to stream IE 8 which is already installed on streaming server (2008 server). I created the IE8 package (Wise Virtual Composer) by pointing the executable in "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" but agent is not able to run this application.

Can you guys please tell me how to stream this already installed IE, any link to tutorial or vedio which demonstrate how to do it.

Hello Arvind, The right way

Hello Arvind,

The right way to do it is you will first need to create a layer using layer definition file (available on connect site) and then use Wise Virtual Composer to create a streaming package. This package can then be uploaded to SWS Server and provisioned to endusers.

You can have a lot of combinations while packaging depending upon the IE version on base. Today we support this on Windows XP and Windows 7.
