Submission Control Threshold Failure - LiveUpdate
Created: 29 Jan 2013 | Updated: 29 Jan 2013 | 5 comments
Hello:
We are receving errors from our 64bit Windows7 clients. Clients are using 12.1.2015.2015. Please see the attached screenshot. Our clients receive updates from our SEPMs. The SEPMs receive updates from our LiveUpdate Server. LiveUpdate Server fetches updates nightly.
This is an entry from the a client's log file.

As shown in the pic, I can not locate file 1345848522jtun_scd2.sep.... on our LiveUpdate Server in the clu-prod folder.
This is the third day, I was hoping that the missing update would be pulled down, but it hasn't.
Thanks for your help.

Is all other content updating as expected?
Can you post the contents of the log.liveupdate file?

Where is log.liveupdate located?
Where is the location of LiveUpdate Log file Log.liveupdate?
Windows 2003: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate
Windows 2008: C:\ProgramData\Symantec\LiveUpdate

Can you check on your Liveupdate Server if you find this file in the "Manage Updates" location - so the location where LUA keeps the files before distributing to clu-prod?

Make sure you update your "Product Catalog" on Liveupdate Server - maybe that file is no longer available even on the Live symantec Servers and was replaced with something else - information about this would come with the updated Product Catalog. SEPM would still try do request the old file while having the old content information.
Here is the log from one a SEPM not the LiveUpdate Server. I masked out some of the ip information with xxx.xxx.
