    Hi,

My SEPM v 12.1 RU1 MP1 has been working great since many weeks ago, today when I am about to login to the console, I got " Unable to connect to the database" error pop up ?

What could be the issue ?

    HI,

Could you please upload the scm-server-0.log and catalina.out file from \program files\Symantec\symantec endpoint protection manager\tomcat\logs

Check Database services are running or not ?

    Hi,

Could you please check sem5.log file size?

    Default Location: C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db\sem5.log

Are you able to start Symantec Embedded database service?

Make sure SEPM installed drive has sufficient disk space.

If possible then try to restart the server as well.

Please confirm which type of database you are using (Sybase, SQL Server), then ensure it is started (for Sybase, look for dbsrv process locally ; for SQL Server, look at services running). If you use remote SQL, ensure database is reachable (ping, telnet).

Finally, ensure your ODBC settings are configured properly (http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH160964).

    Hello,

Please upload us scm-server-1.log, which in your case would help us.

I would suggest you to check this Article:

    and check this Thread:
