Support Article RSS Feed?
Created: 22 Oct 2012 | 9 comments
I subscribe to the RSS feeds for the Connect fora I am interested in, this is a really useful facility.
Would it be possible to have this facility for support articles so we can see when new support articles are released, or does this functionality already exist and I've missed it? Currently I've bookmarked the support pages for each product I'm interested in and check them every week or so for the latest dated articles.

Hi andykn101,
Can you provide a URL to the support section where you would like to see this functionality?
Thanks,
Kevin
As an example, ideally here:
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
But otherwise each of:
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
It would increase the effectiveness of new articles if they were announced.

...ideally you should add it in here:

THanks!
If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.
We can forward this request to the support team but the pages you've posted are support pages and not Connect pages. The Connect team has very little control over the Symantec support experience.
I use Google Crome + RSS Feed Reader plug-in
When I go to http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&key=55266&channel=TECHNICAL_SOLUTION&basecat=KNOWN_ISSUE&sort=recent page, my RSS Feed Reader automatically detects the RSS feed and prompts me to add the newly discovered feed.
After adding it, I close that tab and go back to the RSS Reader button and notice it contains "Current Technical Solution". On expanding that, I see a list of all aticles in the "Technical Solution" topic.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, I use Opera and had to cut and paste the feeds from the the Google Chrome RSS Feed Reader into that. But I could only find three feeds:
Technical Solution (includes Known Issue, Installing, Troubleshooting, Getting Started):
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
Documentation (includes Release Notes):
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
How To (includes Best Practices)
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...
Is there any way to limit the content by Product?

Append "&key=#####" to your RSS URL, where ##### is the product number (which you can find by visiting its Product Landing Page and checking the URL - for example, NetBackup Enterprise Server would be "&key=15143")
(Sorry it took 2½ months to get you that answer!)
Works for me in Chrome as well, good find!
