  • 1.  Supported OS for 12.1.2

    SEP Admins,

    Looking to find out if SEP 12.1.2 is supported on the following OS:

    • Windows Embedded POSReady 2009
    • Windows Embedded POSReady 7

    I did ready article http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH195325  but its does not mention the following OS:

    • Windows Embedded POSReady 2009
    • Windows Embedded POSReady 7

    Is the install of SEP 12.1.2 on the OS mention above possible?

    The install might work, but unless the Operating System is listed in the System Requirements document the installation won't be supported.

    These are the supported Operating Systems:

    • Windows Small Business Server 2003 (32-bit)
    • Windows Small Business Server 2008 (64-bit)
    • Windows Small Business Server 2011 (64-bit)
    • Windows Essential Business Server 2008 (64-bit)
    • Mac OS X 10.6.8, 10.7 (32-bit, 64-bit); 10.8 (64-bit)
    • Mac OS X Server 10.6.8, 10.7 (32-bit, 64-bit); 10.8 (64-bit)

    There is different SEP for Embedded.

    SEP AV component can be installed on POS OS.
