Hi All,

Been using SVS ok for a while now but I've come across some apps that when you run them for the first time, they want to install themselves from the original MSI file.

I've been told that one way around this to to have the MSI install in the .vsa file so that it can repair/install from the local C: Drive. Is this a good idea or not.

Is there a way around this.

Having the MSI in the VSA will make the VSA massive.

The capture was done a Windows XP (virtual machine) and then deployed to a Windows Vista PC.

Many thanks

Regards

Leonard

Leonard, I have seen the

Leonard,

I have seen the exact same thing. Created an app on XP and deployed to Vista with the same result. Beyond that activating the layer at all on the Vista computer spiked the processor to the point the computer was unusable.

I haven't found a fix yet. Going to try creating the VSA on a Vista machine but I'd hate to have two separte ones for the different OSs if it even works.

Here's to hoping someone out there has the answer.
