SVS - Outlook - Desktop Search apps

I've been running Office 2007 in a layer with no problem but couldn't get Copernic or the built in Outlook Instant Search to index my email.

Haven't had time to do much troubleshooting - just wondering if other people are running an email indexing utility on their virtualized Outlook?

What I've tried so far is virtualizing Copernic but it says email indexing is disabled and it won't stay enabled when I check it (I haven't tried installing Copernic in the base because I really wanted to virtualize as much as I can possibly can).

I also tried downloading and turning on the built in Outlook Instant Search but it also didn't index the Outlook email.

Anyone have any experience with indexing email when Outlook is in a layer?

Thanks!

Gary

Have you had a look on the Juice for past articles on Office 2007 issues when in a layer? I have a vague feeling that Outlook stuff was covered also.

If your issue has been solved, please use the "Mark as Solution" link on the most relevant thread.

I seems it is not this much user friendly version like 2003....What do you think?

I created a single layer with Office 2007 (including Outlook), Communicator 2007, and Windows Desktop Search installed.

Everything is working properly - Instant Search in Outlook is indexing mailbox and whatever pst file I open. Also, no more of those integration error messages for Communicator that I was seeing before including Communicator in the same layer.

Working flawlessly so far...

I've had people report issues with Copernic in a different layer and I've just never had time to look into it, I have an idea on why the installed indexer doesn't work unless it's in the same layer, and I'll have to look into that, but for now it's good to know that the need to be in the same layer.
