Advantages SVS to Softgrid

I only have to show you one.
Softgrid bubble's cannot interact to each other.
SVS layers can.
And the best???

Packaging for Softgrid is a hard, time consuming difficult task.
In SVS it is as easy as installing locally.

Search the Juice

Hi tageur,

You probably searched the Juice for SoftGrid but, if not, give that a try.

There are half a dozen posts that might prove helpful.

SoftGrid bubble interaction

Hi,

I saw a demo with the latest SoftGrid beta, and with a new feature you could open up for interaction between bubbles.

Check this out

Check out this article about virtualization:

http://www.infoworld.com/article/07/09/24/39TC-app...

It compares SVS, SoftGrid, and Thinstall. I hope this article helps you out. In my opinion, SVS is the best virtualization I have ever seen.

I have been working with

I have been working with Softgrid or AppV for last 3 years and applications not able to talk to eachother is the biggest single issue i have seen.

Even 4.5 will not solve the following issues
1. user updated application configuration.
2. Managing virtual bubble to bubble communication between virtual application will still be an issue. if one package is updated then the OSD files of the parent package also needs to be updated

Thanks and Regards,
Mayank Johri

Interesting about SG 4.5

Thanks Mayank Johri for the information..
Do you also work with SVS? And which software virtualization do you like best.
Is it hard to create SG package?

I think it is a bit quiet about SVS 2.5 ("Medusa") from Altiris....
