We have deployed Altiris in our corporation and we have experienced that, although Altiris detects SW Resources well, sometimes there are not EXE files associated to them. In this way, and in order to apply SW metering to the whole SW Resources which belong to a SW Product, we are copying EXE files from desktop computers, upload them to SW resources, and associate them in the enahnced views SW Metering tab. Is this correct? We have seen that this manually uploaded EXE files have 0 bytes size, is this correct? Does it mean that an exact copy of the EXE file is already uploaded in the NS?
We also have experienced the SW Metering known issue in IT Analytics (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH197245), but we are frightened if this may affect to the numbers shown by IT Analytics. What ddo you think?
