Does SWG 5.x support the monitoring for web pages using HTTP non-standard ports in Proxy Mode ??

    Example :  http://190.25.231.237:81/

We are receiving the following error response :

    • Access Denied.

Access control configuration prevents your request from being allowed at this time. Please contact your service provider if you feel this is incorrect.

Is there any access control configuration to allow different ports ??

What about non-standard HTTPS ports ??

    Thanks

    Hello,

it seems what you are reporting is similar to what's covered into this technote

Would you have a Support case open for this?

With SWG 5.x,, we are now in proxy mode and ALL clients are connected to Internet using the SWG proxy address and port.

The Symantec support team procedure, requires to modify the SWG mode to Span/tap mode and disable the services in order to modify the script file required.

It means, disable the internet access for ALL users for minutes or hours while the support team modify the files, each time any port changes will be required.

Have you any plan to improve this modification procedure ??  Maybe a parameter in the GUI to allow proxy ports to be monitored ??

Any way to learn the procedure and correct the problem without the support team help ??

The support for this case was excellent... but sometimes, you can not wait to open a case, wait for an answer, disconnect all users, change a parameter to allow access to a different port, and restore the service.

    Thanks for your help.

Yes, we are working on getting this able to be configured by the administrator in a future build.
