SWG virtual appliance and VMware Workstation

Is it possible to use the SWG VA with VM Workstation 9 in SPAN/TAP monitor mode? I have VMNET0 bridged directly to the physical NIC that's attached to the mirroring port on my switch. The host is running Linux and ntop confirms that port mirroring is working.

I don't think a SWG VA on VMware workstation can work as SPAN/TAP monitor mode. Because the virtual network card of the SWG VA is the same to a physical network card.
Thanks, I thought as much.
Symantec Web Gateway requires 1 physical NIC for each virtual NIC on the SWG as well as their own virtual switches (usualy required to be in promiscious mode).
