switching recovery model during business

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Dear Sirs

My customer is using Backup Exec 2012 on his SBS to backup his files.

Backup is running though..and things are fine.

BUT

There is a SQL Database called sbsmonitoring and it's not getting saved by our daily incremental backups because the recovery model is simple and not full.

So I want to change the recovery model because I think it will not influence the work experience. My customer is not sure and hesitates but this gives us errors on every backup (because the database is not included in the snapshot).

So my question is if I can switch the recovery model of the/an SQL Database without killing it?

Thanks for replies !

Thought the sql database would be used by the backup exec and thought then it would be better to post here..dang

The SQL DB used by Backup Exec is listed as BKUPEXEC.

It's always best to get hold of the vendor in question to ask them if the change can be made. BE would, in this case, only backup the DB, but the change would need to be made in SQL itself.

Thanks!
