SWV and Long Login time into domain

Hi everyone, I was very pleased when I recently found out that SWV 6.1 MP1 was publicly released! Thank you so much! However, when I started reading the Known Issues section I've found the following: 'Long login time (6 minutes) when logging into domain.' The Knowledgebase article (found here kb.altiris.com/article.asp) refers to a software called RTO VP. We don't use it. However, the article seems a bit unclear. Does the long login time refer to that software as well or is only the profile corruption issue referring to that software?
Are you working on the Long login time issue? We're currently building our new workstation image (WinXP SP3) and are based on a 2003 Active Directory. We're already having a 2 - 3 minutes delay when logging into the domain (probably SVS related?). However, a 6 minutes delay would definitely be a No Go.

Looks like the profile

Looks like the profile corruption is only related to if you have that software installed.

Also it looks like Roaming Profiles needs to be enabled for the 6 minute log in, which is something that wasn't placed in the KB article.

We've been experiencing this

We've been experiencing this issue with 6.1 BETA (6.1.4063) on 2003 AD with our XP SP3 clients and Roaming Profiles.

What's RTO VP?  If you are refering to RTO Virtual Profiles (http://www.rtosoft.com/Products/VirtualProfiles/VP.htm) ? we don't use it and have been experiencing this issue for ages!

We're testing to see if 6.1 MP1 (6.1.4113) fixes this issue.

Fixed with 6.1.4113

Solution

Well, I'm happy to say that the following problems have been resolved with 6.1.4113.

Problems we noticed with 6.1.4063 and have been resolved with 6.1.4113....

1. AD 2003 with XP SP2/3 Roaming profile logon time circa 6 minutes
2. Profile corruption. - Too many corruption points to mention

After talking to Symantec tech they have confirmed that "RTO VP" (Which IS RTO Virtual Profiles) doesnt have to be install to experience this problem and that 6.1 MP1 (6.1.4113) has indeed fixed these issues.

Phew. Hope that clears the confusion up!
