Sygate blocking mobile phone

Greetings,
I have a laptop provided by my work. It has Endpoint Protection on it. The program is blocking ActiveSync form connecting with my smartphone. IT says no. The Network Threat Protection tab is locked out by admin and I cannot add the files and check the ports so the laptop can see the device (all other computers in the house can see the phone).
How do I get in to add the right parameters? Cannot send laptop and phone across the country to my IT guy.
Any suggestions?

If the client is managed by the SEPM, you cannot manually change the settings.
You need to confirm in the logs what file(s) are being blocked and have your administrator add them as exceptions.
