We want to make alldevices in our environment are managed by the Symantec Server. A while back in a conference with Symantec Support they suggested we update all the sylink on all the devices to get it managed . The pain of the process is we have to do it manually on each endpoint . The process involves the stopping of all symantec services on the endpoint, update the sylink and then restart the services. Is there a way to do this either through a batch file which can be ran through landesk or something else either than the manual process. The Symantec Server will report success in updating but in actuality nothing has been updated. Please help?
There's a utility called Sylinkdrop which you can request from support. You can read about it here: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH105034&locale=en_US
I've moved this thread to the security forums for you.

I am sure this is what you are looking for!!!!
If your organization uses SCCM, or other client-management tool, you can use it to push a sylinkdrop package with the new sylink file. We've used this method to migrate 30k+ clients to a consolidated SEPM environment.
Owesome. It works. Thanks
