I went to the location the helpfile said Sylink.xml should be in and it is not there.

Anyone know where it went or if it is even still part of RU5?

    Thanks!

its still the part of Ru5
    its still not created,
if you open your SEP Manager you will find 2 groups
if you click on my company group
and on right hand side click on details
you will see policy serial numbers to be blank.
try restarting your sepm service, you will get 2 folders in the above mentioned path.

Either the database it corrupt or check if you have sepm installed on your C drive as well.
try exporting the package if it fails that means database is corrupt re-install SEPM

Thats good, try doing a repair of SEPM should put back the necessary files and you should find the folders
running the management server config wizard should also fix the issue.

Just make sure this data folder is not a left over of a previous install and just check if you have SEPM installed on the other drive D:\
