    hi

     

    I need password to uninstall symantec  endpoint protection program. SO, how can uninstall it ?

    You need to check with your administrator for the password. This can be removed via the SEPM console.

    I bought my PC from someone else. So, I do not have any contact of administrator. So, Please give me another solution to uninstall.

    Wipe and reinstall the OS.

    You can contact support to see if they can give you cleanwipe but you need to be a customer.

    I can not  make  contact with administrator. how can i uistall it without administrator?

    Symantec has a tool called cleanwipe. If you call and log a support case they can send you the download instructions. However, you need to have a valid customer ID.

    Hello,

    Request you to please let us know the Version of Symantec Endpoint Protection installed on your machine.

    You can try to enter password "symantec"

    OR

    To delete GUI password follow the steps:

    Open the registry

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SMC
     
    Change the value for SmcGuiHasPassword from 1 to 0
     
    Restart the SMC service
     
     
    To delete uninstall password follow the steps:
     
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\AdministratorOnly\Security\UseVPUninstallPassword
     
    Set to 0 to disable it.
     
    OR
     
    Use the cleanwipe tool to remove SEP.
     
    You need to contact support to receive latest cleanwipe tool.
