    Anyone hear if they (Symantec) is sunsetting the 8160.... ?? We are up for renewal and that is what of vendor is telling us... we would have to move to a new hardare class....


    Anyone hear this??

    Are you talking about the Symantec Brightmail Traffic Shaper?

    If so, then EOL has not been announced. Version 6.0.1 released on 7/17/09.

     Hi,

    There are NO plans to retire or EOL Symantec Brightmail Traffic Shaper (formerly known as 8160 series appliance).
