The antivirus is leaving some pcs very slow, he is making access to disk all the time, but it's no scan. No use to update the version or downgrade. The pc is only normal to uninstall.
What can be?

Obs:

Sorry for any mistakes. I used google to translate from Portuguese> English

Thanks

Hi

Delete any files inside
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition\7.5\Quarantine

give permission before deleting, coz none will have access to this folder

check the cpu, it should be normal.

So is this happening

So is this happening constantly, not just during boot up or during certain times of day?

What version is SAV exactly (10.1.9 is the most recent)?  What is the operating system of your PCs?  Are they physical machines, or virtual (VMWare)?

I would look in the logs and see if there are any Tamper Protection alerts. If there are:

Title: 'Using Tamper Protection in Symantec AntiVirus 10.x and Symantec Client Security 3.x'
Document ID: 2005033111081548
> Web URL: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2005033111081548

Hope this helps,

sandra
