Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition\7.5 Folder Filled Hard Drive

Created: 05 Apr 2010 • Updated: 21 May 2010 | 3 comments
This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have recently been experiencing problems with our computer.  Many applications are unable to run or complete due to "Not enough disc space..." or "Disk Space Full".  I tracked down the reason for having the hard drive completely full:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition\7.5.

This 7.5 folder has 28.3 GB worth of  .wdb, .iad, .iex, & .vdb files since 2007.  We are using Symantic Antivision 10.1.4.4000 and Windows 2000 edition.

Are there files that can be deleted without causing a problem or is there a fix to removing old files within the Symantic program?

We appreciate the help.  Thank you.

Brian

This looks to be corrupt virus definitions..Either manually delete all the file and update with latest XDB or call symantec and get a copy of Rx4Defs Utility will help you in future aswell.
