Hello I have a problem with my Symantec Antivirus it gets blocked when I try to scan partition C or other one's.
For example I click C:/ > Scan for viruses and then I stay betwen 3-4 seconds and it dose not do anything and I recive the "Dont send error".

My version is up to date: 10.0.0.359

It is from a virus or something? If yes please show me how to resolve this.

do a repair of symantec antivirus from add/remove programs and then try running a scan; check if that works
check if rtvscan.exe service is running in the taskmanager

What OS are you trying to run this version on? This is an older version of SAV that will not run on Vista and later OS.

Ok I did a repair but the same problem... and I checked if rtvscan.exe is running and it isnt I dont know why, I remeber it was running perfectly

My OS is Windows Service Pack 2

I assume you meant Windows XP. Try running the program in Safe-mode, if that works then update definitions and run a full scan in safe-mode. If a threat is detected and cleaned then try running again in normal desktop.

The scan in safe-mode found a Trojan.Packed.Ns.Anti in C:/WINDOWS may this be the problem?

It sayd Action: Unknow action, I selected to Delete it permanently.

Edit: I read in the symantec database and it says the virus do errors to antiviruses software

The SAV version you are using is very old and had few vulnerabilities that were easily exploited. So it won't be enough to protect you against such complex virus/threats

Ok I have discovered that my computer is infected with a virus that dont let me scan my folder with left click. I dont know the name of the virus cause the antivirus dose not detect it. When I enter My Computer and I click on partition C:/ for example it opens in a new window and I have read that there is a vrius that makes this happen (something with autorun.inf). Any ideeas what should I use to get rid of the virus?

Edit: The antivirus works as it should, I have scanned the PC from the client it self and worked, but with left click on a folder and "Scan for viruses" it gets blocked by that virus
